Small vintage chest of drawers designed by A.A. Patijn and produced in the 1950s by Zijlstra in Joure, the Netherlands. The wall cabinet has a nice warm look due to the use of walnut and the brass handles and legs (adjustable in height). The birch finish of the drawers with the anti-dust corners provides a nice contrast with the exterior.

Abraham Patijn (1922-1985) was known for his minimalist and functional approach to design, with attention to materials, durability and ease of use. A.A. Patijn is the designer of the KLM restaurant (Schiphol) in 1953 and the KLM hotel in New Guinea in 1955.

Condition: good vintage condition. The woodwork is in good condition with some light traces of use, including some light moisture spots on the top of the cabinet.

Het wandkastje heeft een mooie warme uitstraling door het gebruik van walnoot en de messing grepen en pootjes (verstelbaar in hoogte). Leuk contrast met de buitenkant geeft de berken afwerking van de lades met de anti dust hoeken. Goede vintage conditie. Het houtwerk is in mooie staat met enkele lichte gebruikssporen waaronder enkele lichte vochtplekjes op de bovenzijde van de kast. Abraham Patijn (1922-1985) stond bekend om zijn minimalistische en functionele benadering van design, met aandacht voor materialen, duurzaamheid en gebruiksgemak. A.A. Patijn is o.a. ontwerper van het KLM restaurant (Schiphol) in 1953 en het KLM hotel in Nieuw-Guinea in 1955.
