ICONIC draaifauteuil ‘Jetson’ door Bruno Mathsson voor DUX, Zweden 1970s
Iconic swivel armchair, model ‘Jetson’ designed by Bruno Mathsson and produced by Dux in Sweden, 1970s. Beautiful, slender swivel armchair standing on a round chrome base and featuring a light canvas shell seat with a tufted cushion. The edges of the canvas shell are finished with leather. The fabric headrest, attached with a leather lace, ensures optimal ergonomic comfort. A beautiful armchair with a lovely lived-in character.
Bruno Mathsson (1907-1988) is one of the most famous Swedish designers and architects. He made a significant contribution to functionalism in the design world. His furniture, including several iconic designs such as the Pernilla lounge chair and the Jetson armchair, is still appreciated and produced to this day.
Condition: fair to good condition. The canvas shows signs of use (including slight discoloration). The leather rim of the shell has damage to the top edge (see photo). The fabric seat cushion and headrest are original, but fitted with new filling.

Iconische draaifauteuil, model ‘Jetson’ ontworpen door Bruno Mathsson en geproduceerd door Dux in Zweden, 1970s. Mooie slanke draaifauteuil staand op een ronde verchroomde voet en een lichte kuipzitting van canvas met gecapitonneerd kussen. De randen van de canvas kuip zijn afgewerkt met leer. Voor het optimale ergonomische comfort zorgt de stoffen hoofdsteun welke met een leren veter is bevestigd. Redelijk tot goede conditie. Het canvas heeft zijn gebruikssporen (o.a lichte verkleuring). De leren rand van de kuip heeft een beschadiging aan de bovenrand (zie foto). Het stoffen zitkussen en hoofdsteun zijn origineel, maar voorzien van nieuwe vulling.
