Great iconic brutalist lounge armchair, model The Rock, designed by Gerard van den Berg for Montis, Netherlands 1970. This super comfortable armchair is fully upholstered in the original brown buffalo leather (nubuck). At the time the most popular model of Montis and still very popular. The model fits in a modern interior, but also with a brutalist style.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The armchair is sturdy and still completely in its original shape. The buffalo leather is still nice and thick, supple and still fairly even in color. Natural signs of use in accordance with age (see photos). Light wear on the corners of the seat. Beautiful patina as they say. The leather has been cleaned and treated with leather protector.

Geweldige iconische brutalist lounge fauteuil, model The Rock, ontworpen door Gerard van den Berg voor Montis, Nederland 1970. Deze super comfortabele fauteuil is volledig bekleed met het originele bruine buffelleer. Destijds het populairste model van Montis en nu nog steeds zeer gewild. Het model past in een modern interieur, maar ook bij een brutalistische stijl. Goede vintage conditie. De fauteuil stevig en nog geheel in zijn oorspronkelijke vorm. Het buffel leer is nog lekker dik, soepel en nog redelijk egaal van kleur. Natuurlijk gebruikssporen overeenkomstig de leeftijd (zie foto’s). Lichte slijtage op de hoeken van de zitting. Mooie patina zoals ze zeggen. Het leer is gereinigd en behandeld met leer beschermer.
