Iconic dining chairs, model Pirkka, designed by Finnish interior architect Ilmari Tapiovaara and manufactured by Laukaan Puu in the 1950s. The chairs (5 pieces) are made of high-quality pinewood and feature a beautiful brown finish and black lacquered legs. Beautiful craftsmanship with elegantly shaped components and solid mortise and tenon joints. Early edition and original marked mid-century set.
A beautiful set together with the restored dining table.
Condition: good vintage condition. The chairs show signs of wear. They are sturdy, but there is some slight give in the joints. One chair has a slight crack at the leg and seat (see photo).
The legs have been relacquered at the ends.

Iconische eettafelstoelen, model Pirkka, ontworpen door Finse Interieur-architect Ilmari Tapiovaara en gefabriceerd door Laukaan Puu in de jaren 50. De 4+1 (5 stuks) stoelen zijn gemaakt van hoogwaardig vuren hout en voorzien van een mooie bruine afwerking en zwart gelakte poten. Mooi vakmanschap met sierlijk vormgegeven onderdelen en degelijke pen-gat verbindingen. Vroege editie en originele gemerkte mid-century set. Mooie set samen met de gerestaureerde eetkamertafel. Goede vintage conditie. De stoelen hebben gebruikssporen. De stevigheid is ok, maar er zit hier en daar lichte speling in de verbindingen. Een stoel heeft een lichte breuk ter plaatse van de poot en de zitting (zie foto). De poten zijn aan de uiteinden opnieuw gelakt. Afmetingen: breed 37,5 cm, diep 43 cm, hoog 75 cm, zithoogte 42,5 cm
