Original vintage SZ01 armchairs (rattan) designed by Martin Visser and produced by ’t Spectrum, Netherlands 1980s. The minimalist industrial brushed steel tube frame forms a beautiful contrast with the craftsmanship of woven white artificial cane (wicker).

Martin Visser (1922-2009) is one of the most famous Dutch furniture designers. From 1954 he became head designer at Spectrum (1941 Bergeyk). Visser makes sleek designs with a functional approach. His designs have long been defining for the Spectrum collection. In December 1998 Martin Visser’s career was rewarded with the oeuvre prize for design.

Condition: Good vintage condition. The rattan is intact. However, both chairs have a small crack in the artificial cane at the front of the frame/ end of the rattan. Some minor signs of use on the frame.
