ZWEEDSE vintage tafellamp door Uno & Osten Kristiansson, Luxus, 1960s
Beautiful table lamp in a white and yellow color combination, Cylindus model, designed in the 1960s by Uno & Osten Kristiansson and produced by the Swedish company Luxus. The lamp stands on a white metal base that transitions into a metal leg. The plastic shade (Acrylic) features two cylinders of different diameters and colors. A nice detail is the cord for switching it on and off. Beautiful soft lighting thanks to the diffuse shade.
The brothers Uno & Östen Kristiansson are two influential Swedish designers known for their minimalist Scandinavian Mid-Century lighting and mirrors. They produced their iconic designs, including the famous pine wood pendant lamps and table mirrors, from the 1950s to the 1980s for their own family business, Luxus in Vittsjö, Sweden.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The lamp works perfectly. There is a small crack in the yellow rim (not immediately bothersome) and a somewhat visible scratch (see photos). The base has some touched-up damage to the white lacquer.

Mooie tafellamp in een witte met gele kleurencombinatie, model cylindus, ontworpen in de jaren 60 door Uno & Osten Kristiansson en geproduceerd door het Zweedse Luxus. De lamp staat op een witte metalen voet, die overgaat in een metalen poot. De kunststof kap heeft twee cylinders in verschillende diameter en kleur. Leuk detail vormt het koordje voor het aan en uit schakelen. Mooie zachte verlichting door diffuse kap. Goede vintage conditie. De lamp werkt uitstekend. In de gele rand zit een klein barstje (niet direct storend) en een wat zichtbare kras (zie foto’s). De voet heeft enkele bijgewerkte beschadigingen aan de witte lak. Diameter kap 40 cm (30 cm), hoogte kap 25 cm, totale hoogte 66,5 cm, diameter voet 24 cm.
