Set of 6 Art Deco / Haagse School oak dining chairs, Netherlands 1930s / set van 6 Haagse School eettafelstoelen, Nederlands 1930. De massief eiken stoelen hebben een sobere moderne stijl met een zwart gebeitste multiplex zitting. De multiplex zitting is gemerkt met een originele sticker van Venesta (Estonia Veneer) / Sumnot. Of dit ook de fabrikant is van de gehele stoel of alleen de leverancier van het multiplex is ons niet bekend. De Oosterbeekse meubelfabriek L.O.V. zou gezien de stijl ook de maker kunnen zijn.
Conditie: goede vintage conditie. Gebruikssporen overeenkomstig de leeftijd.
Afmetingen: breed 45 cm, diep 46,5 cm, hoog 85 cm, zithoogte 46-47 cm.

The plywood seat is marked with an original Venesta (Estonia Veneer) / Sumnot sticker. We do not know whether this is also the manufacturer of the entire chair or just the supplier of the plywood. The Oosterbeek furniture factory L.O.V. could also be the maker given the style. Good vintage condition. Signs of use corresponding to its age.

The “sling” armrests are made of the same brown canvas. The seat is held in place by metal pins in the woodwork and turning buttons on the underside. The “safari chair” was an important inspiration for the design of the lounge armchair. The armchair is included in the extensive chair collection of the TU Delft.

De unieke fauteuil heeft een grenen houten frame met daarin hangend een canvas zitting. De “sling” armleuningen zijn van hetzelfde bruine canvas. De zitting wordt op zijn plaats gehouden door metalen pinnen in het houtwerk en draaiknopen aan de onderzijde.
