Set of 4 mid-century vintage industrial dining chairs by Wim Rietveld for Kembo, 1950s Netherlands / set van 4 industriele design stoelen ontworpen door Wim Rietveld voor Kembo, 1950s. De zware stoelen hebben een slank antraciet stalen frame met licht houten armleuningen en zwarte skai leren bekleding.
Conditie: goede vintage conditie. Lichte gebruikssporen op het frame. De skaileren sittingen zijn in de tijd opnieuw bekleed en hebben een iets mattere uitstraling dan de rugleuningen.
Afmetingen: breed 62 cm, diep 59 cm, hoog 82 cm, zithoogte 43-44 cm.

Set of 4 industrial design chairs designed by Wim Rietveld for Kembo, 1950s. The heavy chairs have a slim anthracite steel frame with light wooden armrests and black skai leather upholstery. Good vintage condition. Light signs of use on the frame. The leatherette seats have been reupholstered over time and have a slightly more matt appearance than the backrests.

The “sling” armrests are made of the same brown canvas. The seat is held in place by metal pins in the woodwork and turning buttons on the underside. The “safari chair” was an important inspiration for the design of the lounge armchair. The armchair is included in the extensive chair collection of the TU Delft.
