Afmetingen: breed 226,5 cm, diep 55 cm, hoogte 173 cm,
Code: K2109
Mid-century design wardrobe KU16 from the famous Japanese series, designed by Cees Braakman for UMS Pastoe, 1958. Large teak wardrobe with 4 folding doors with plenty of hanging space behind it. Behind the 2 regular doors are 8 shelves. The cabinet stands on the characteristic slim black strip steel legs. The folding doors are equipped with the original mirror, sock rack and tie hook. In this size a rare wardrobe from the Japanese series with still a modern appearance. The cabinet is marked and can be completely disassembled.
Good to very good vintage condition. All visible elements (doors and sides) are in very nice condition. Signs of use are visible at 1 top and 1 bottom corner at the rear (see photos) and two repairs have been carried out on the bottom at the connection with the side and intermediate walls. These are not or hardly visible when the cabinet is mounted. 1 intermediate panel has a repair to the veneer on the top edge (connection top of the cabinet). The “click” closure of the right double door does not work as well. The screws of the sock box are not original. Ditto for the small screws needed to secure the back panels.
