Rare set of four papercord dining chairs with matching table designed by Mogens Lassen for Fritz Hansen, Denmark 1960s. The chairs, model 4216, have a special geometry with a kind of corner arrangement. The advantage is that the 4 chairs with matching table can be used well in a smaller space. The wooden frame with the curved plywood backrest is painted black. The seats are made of braided rope (papercord). The table, model 4626, has a frame with the same appearance as the chairs. The wooden table top has a finish with a kind of Hpl.

Condition: the chairs are in good condition. The papercord seats are all intact and reasonably tight. The woodwork has some traces of use. The black lacquer on the edges of the backrests have slight wear. Furthermore, traces of use on the frame in accordance with the age.

The table is in reasonable condition. The top of the legs have various touched-up traces of use. The top has scratches and is slightly discoloured / worn. The edges of the leaf have slight damage (see photos).

Zeldzame set van vier papercord eettafelstoelen met bijpassende tafel ontworpen door Mogens Lassen voor Fritz Hansen, Denemarken 1960s. De stoelen, model 4216, hebben een bijzondere geometrie met een soort hoekopstelling. Het voordeel is dat de 4 stoelen met bijbehorende tafel goed te gebuiken zijn in een kleinere ruimte. Het houten frame met de gebogen plywood rugleuning is zwart gelakt. De zittingen is van gevlochten touw (papercord). De tafel, model 4626, heeft een frame met dezelfde uitsraling als de stoelen. Het houten tafelblad heeft een afwerking met een soort Hpl. De stoelen zijn in een goede conditie. De papercord zittingen zijn allen heel en redelijk strak. Het houtwerk heeft enkele gebruikssporen. De zwarte lak op de randen van de rugleuningen hebben lichte slijtage. Verder gebruikssporen op het frame overeenkomstig de leeftijd. De tafel is in redelijke conditie. De bovenzijde van de poten hebben diverse bijgewerkte gebruikssporen. Het blad heeft krassen en is licht verkleurd / slijtage. De randen van het blad hebben lichte schade (zie foto’s).
