Rare set of four dining chairs attributed to Ilmar Lappalainen and produced by Asko, 1960s Finland / zeldzame set van 4 eettafelstoelen toegeschreven aan de Finse ontwerper Ilmar Lappalainen en Asko, 1960s Finland. De bijzondere stoelen hebben een gebogen geannodiseerd aluminium frame met gele skai leren zitting en rugleuningen. De stoelen zijn niet voorzien van een merkteken. De stoelen tonen enige gelijkenis met de Sm0301 van Pastoe / Pierre Mazairac. De gele kleur is door natuurlijk en kunstlicht nooit hetzelfde, houdt u daar rekening mee bij aankoop. Mooie set samen met de Pastoe eettafel.
Conditie: goede tot zeer goede vintage conditie. Lichte gebruikssporen aan de onderzijde van de aluminium poten. Skai leer en vulling is in goede tot zeer goede staat.

The seats bear some resemblance to the Sm0301 by Pastoe / Pierre Mazairac. Nice set together with the Pastoe diningtable. Good to very good vintage condition. Light signs of wear on the underside of the aluminum legs. Skai leather and filling is in good to very good condition. The yellow color is never the same due to natural and artificial light, keep this in mind when purchasing

Special Dutch lounge armchair designed by John de Haard and produced by the Gebroeders Jonkers, 1960s. The unique armchair has a pine wooden frame with a canvas seat hanging in it. The “sling” armrests are made of the same brown canvas. The seat is held in place by metal pins in the woodwork and turning buttons on the underside. The “safari chair” was an important inspiration for the design of the lounge armchair. The armchair is included in the extensive chair collection of the TU Delft.
