Classic industrial schoolchair, s16 made by Galvanitas Oosterhout, 1960s Netherlands / klassieke schoolstoel ontworpen in de jaren zestig door Galvanitas in Oosterhout. De schoolstoel s16 met de kenmerkende geperste zwarte stalen passerpoten en degelijke “dark ebony” zitting en rugleuning (tegenwoordig geproduceerd in Duitsland) past goed in een “urban industrial” interieur. Deze stoelen zijn een latere productie ‘90s of ‘00s. Meerdere exemplaren op voorraad.
Conditie: goed tot zeer goede vintage conditie. minimale gebruikssporen op het frame en randen van de zitting en rugleuning.
Afmetingen: breed 42,5 cm, diep 51,5 cm, hoogte 81 cm, zithoogte 45,5 cm.

The school chair s16 with the characteristic pressed black steel compass legs and solid “dark ebony” seat and backrest (nowadays produced in Germany) fits well in an “urban industrial” interior. These chairs are a later production ’90s or ’00s. Multiple copies in stock. Good to very good vintage condition. minimal traces of use on the frame and edges of the seat and backrest.

Martin Visser (1922-2009) is one of the most famous Dutch furniture designers. From 1954 he became head designer at Spectrum (1941 Bergeyk). Visser makes sleek designs with a functional approach. His designs have long been defining for the Spectrum collection. In December 1998 Martin Visser’s career was rewarded with the oeuvre prize for design.
