Vintage bars chair “Grandessa” by Lena Larsson for Nesto, Sweden 1960s / Set van twee vintage spijlenstoelen, model Grandessa, ontworpen door Lena Larsson en geproduceerd door Nesto, Zweden 1960s. De spijlenstoelen zijn van massief hout en zijn voorzien van de originele zwarte lak. Beide hebben nog het originele zitkussen. Stoelen zijn beide gemerkt. De stoelen werden destijds geïmporteerd door Pastoe.
Conditie: goede vintage conditie. Het zwarte lakwerk heeft enkele kleine beschadigingen (zie foto’s). De gehele uitstraling is echter zeer netjes. De kussentjes zijn toe aan een opfrissing.

Set of two vintage bar chairs, model Grandessa, designed by Lena Larsson and produced by Nesto, Sweden 1960s. The bar chairs are made of solid wood and have the original black lacquer. Both still have the original seat cushion. Seats are both marked. The chairs were imported by Pastoe at the time. Good vintage condition. The black paintwork has some minor damage (see photos). However, the entire appearance is very neat. The cushions are in need of a refresh.

🟡 CRAFTSMANSHIP
Vintage leather easy chair, model 103, designed by Illum Wikkelsø (1919-1999) and produced by A/S Mikael Laursen, Denmark 1960s.
Illum Wikkelsø (1919-1999) trained as a carpenter and later studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen. He first worked for the Danish cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær and the architects Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard until 1954, when he opened his studio on the outskirts of Aarhus. Here he designed exceptionally simple and elegant seating furniture with great functionality, which are now considered classics of Danish furniture design. The style of his work ranges from the classicism of Kaare Klint to the soft organic craftsmanship of Arne Jacobsen.
