Seagrass cord design armchair attributed to V&D (former Dutch department store), 1960s / Leuke jaren 60 fauteuil met blank houten frame en een zitting van zeegraskoord. De fauteuil is geïnspireerd op de Gispen Pelko en de stoelen van Bas van Pelt. Deze is in de jaren 60 waarschijnlijk gemaakt voor V&D (warenhuis Vroom en Dreesman). De fauteuil is van eerste eigenaar.
Conditie: redelijk tot goede conditie. Het zeegraskoord is netjes en op spanning. Aan de bovenzijde van de rugleuning aan weerszijden een kleine breuk tpv houtwerk. Frame is goed met een lichte scheeftstand.
Afmetingen: breed 59 cm, diep 76 cm, hoogte 78 cm, zithoogte 33-38 cm.

Nice 60s armchair with a blank wooden frame and a seat made of seagrass cord. The armchair is inspired by the Gispen Pelko and the chairs by Bas van Pelt. This was probably made in the 1960s for V&D (department store Vroom and Dreesman). The armchair is from the first owner. Fair to good condition. The cord is neat and on tension. At the top of the backrest on both sides a small break in the rope at the location of woodwork. Frame is good with a slight skew

🟡 JAPANESE ANTIQUES
A beautiful Japanese wooden mobile Tansu (箪笥) cabinet from the Meiji period, circa 1900, with a beautiful patina. The cabinet was primarily used for storing clothing, especially kimonos. This functional approach is clearly reflected in the metal corner protectors and the lockable drawers and sliding doors. This cabinet has several wide drawers, two sliding doors, and two “hidden” drawers behind a door. A nice detail is the cast iron supports on the sides of the cabinet. More interesting information about this characteristic piece of furniture with a rich history can be found on Wikipedia/Tansu, among other places. Beautiful cabinet in a modern interior or brutalist architecture.

Timeless sideboard finished with Rio rosewood veneer, designed by visionary Leo Bub in the 1960s. German craftsmanship manufactured by BUB Wertmobel Germany. This mid-century sideboard has an enchanting appearance due to the unique finish of the door panels. The doors are crafted from strips of rosewood veneer woven in a basket weave pattern. The woven panels add a beautiful organic texture and a timeless, casual elegance to the piece. The interior finish of the sideboard, with beech veneer and green felt, creates a beautiful contrast with the dark exterior. A rare and beautiful sideboard with an eye for detail and carefully selected materials. The sideboard is marked with the original sales sticker.
Condition: good to very good vintage condition. The sideboard has a beautiful appearance with a small repair to the veneer on the edge of the upper right corner. Minor discoloration and signs of wear on the top.
