Extendable diningtable “Japanese serie” by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, Dutch design 1960s / Uitschuifbare 6 tot 8 persoons eettafel uit de Japanse serie, model TU30, ontworpen door Cees Braakman voor Pastoe, 1960s. Zilvergrijs gemoffeld stalen frame met teakhouten uitschuifbaar tafelblad. Minimalistisch Nederlands design. Het stalen frame is demontabel. Moderne tafel is gemerkt met sticker.
Conditie: redelijk tot goede conditie. Het tafelblad is geschuurd en opnieuw gelakt (enkele gebruikssporen nog zichtbaar). Het frame heeft zijn gebruikssporen (zie foto’s).
Afmetingen: breed 157 / 216,5 cm, diep 70,5 cm, hoogte 80 cm.

Extendable 6 to 8 person dining table from the Japanese series, model TU30, designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, 1960s. Silver gray enamelled steel frame with teak extendable table top. Minimalist Dutch design. The steel frame can be disassembled. Table is marked with sticker. Fair to good condition. The table top has been sanded and repainted (some traces of use are still visible). The frame has traces of use (see photos).
Vintage leather easy chair, model 103, designed by Illum Wikkelsø (1919-1999) and produced by A/S Mikael Laursen, Denmark 1960s.
Illum Wikkelsø (1919-1999) trained as a carpenter and later studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen. He first worked for the Danish cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær and the architects Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard until 1954, when he opened his studio on the outskirts of Aarhus. Here he designed exceptionally simple and elegant seating furniture with great functionality, which are now considered classics of Danish furniture design. The style of his work ranges from the classicism of Kaare Klint to the soft organic craftsmanship of Arne Jacobsen.
