Rare mid-century wooden side table with inlaid tiles, Switzerland 1960s / blank houten (beuken of eiken) bijzettafel met ingelegd tegelpatroon, gefabriceerd in Zwitserland, 1960s. De randen van de tafel zijn afgerond en licth gekromd. Het tegelplateau is beschilderd met zwart en gele vormen. De tafel staat op messing voetjes. Tafel is gemerkt.
Conditie: goede vintage conditie.
Afmetingen: breed 79 cm, diep 50 cm, hoogte 52,5 cm.

Clear wood (beech or oak) side table with inlaid tile pattern, made in Switzerland, 1960s. The edges of the table are rounded and slightly curved. The tile plateau is painted with black and yellow shapes. The table stands on brass feet. Table is marked. Good vintage condition.

Martin Visser (1922-2009) is one of the most famous Dutch furniture designers. From 1954 he became head designer at Spectrum (1941 Bergeyk). Visser makes sleek designs with a functional approach. His designs have long been defining for the Spectrum collection. In December 1998 Martin Visser’s career was rewarded with the oeuvre prize for design.
