Nice set of 4 plywood dining chairs, 1970s / Mooie set van 4 stoere multiplex eettafelstoelen, 1970s. De stoelen hebben een frame van gebogen multiplex en een zitting met donker blauwe bekleding. De vormgeving heeft wat weg van de Bruno Rey stoelen, maar is minder subtiel.
Conditie: goede vintage conditie. Twee stoelen zijn ooit aan de achterzijde verstevigd met schroeven. De schroefgaten zijn dichtgezet met houtvuller. Bekelding is netjes. Stoelen zijn stevig. Gebruikssporen op het houtwerk overeenkomstig de leeftijd.

Nice set of 4 sturdy plywood dining table chairs, 1970s. The chairs have a frame of bent plywood and a seat with dark blue upholstery. The design resembles the Bruno Rey chairs, but is less subtle. Good vintage condition. Two seats were once reinforced at the back with screws. The screw holes are closed with wood filler. Filing is neat. Seats are sturdy. Signs of use on the woodwork in accordance with the age.

Special Dutch lounge armchair designed by John de Haard and produced by the Gebroeders Jonkers Noordwolde, 1960s. The unique armchair has a pine wooden frame with a canvas seat hanging in it. The “sling” armrests are made of the same brown canvas. The seat is held in place by metal pins in the woodwork and turning buttons on the underside. The “safari chair” was an important inspiration for the design of the lounge armchair. The armchair is included in the extensive chair collection of the TU Delft.
