Mid-century Birch armchairs FT14 by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, 1950s / comfortabele fauteuils, Ft14, ontworpen door Cees Braakman voor Pastoe, 1955. De fauteuils hebben een massief berkenhouten frame en een donkerblauwe gemêleerde stoffen rugleuning en zitting.
Conditie: goede vintage conditie. Schuim en stof is een zeer goede staat (ooit vernieuwd). Houtwerk heeft lichte gebruikssporen die horen bij de leeftijd. Rugleuning van de een zit wat lager dan bij de andere.

comfortable armchairs, Ft14, designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, 1955. The armchairs have a solid birch wood frame and a dark blue mixed fabric back and seat. Good vintage condition. Foam and fabric is in very good condition (once renewed). Woodwork has minor signs of wear that are part of the age. The back of one is slightly lower than the other.

🟡 CRAFTSMANSHIP
Vintage leather easy chair, model 103, designed by Illum Wikkelsø (1919-1999) and produced by A/S Mikael Laursen, Denmark 1960s.
Illum Wikkelsø (1919-1999) trained as a carpenter and later studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen. He first worked for the Danish cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær and the architects Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard until 1954, when he opened his studio on the outskirts of Aarhus. Here he designed exceptionally simple and elegant seating furniture with great functionality, which are now considered classics of Danish furniture design. The style of his work ranges from the classicism of Kaare Klint to the soft organic craftsmanship of Arne Jacobsen.
